Is endothelin-1 luteolytic or antiluteolytic in ewes?

Endothelin-1 (ET-1) does not cause luteolysis in ewes; instead, it maintains corpus luteum weight and progesterone levels. ET-1 appears to be luteotropic or antiluteolytic by shifting the prostaglandin E (PGE) to prostaglandin F(2)alpha (PGF(2)alpha) ratio.
