Summary

Exposure to aromatic amines (AA) like benzidine and beta-naphthylamine impairs natural killer (NK) cell function in dyestuff workers. While the number of NK cells increased, their individual cytotoxic activity was reduced, indicating compromised immune surveillance.

  • Benzidine (BZ) and beta-naphthylamine (BNA) are aromatic amines (AA) linked to bladder cancer.
