Abnormal protein expression in the corpus cavernosum impairs erectile function in type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes in rats impairs erectile function by altering protein expression in penile tissue. This study identifies specific protein changes contributing to diabetes-associated erectile dysfunction.

- Downregulation of eNOS/nNOS/PKG1 and upregulation of ETAR/RhoA/ROCK1 contribute to the development of T2D-associated ED.
- These protein expression changes are critical in the pathophysiology of erectile dysfunction in type 2 diabetes.
