Recombinant interferon-gamma1b (rIFN-gamma1b) adjuvant therapy may shorten tuberculosis treatment by reducing inflammation and improving sputum clearance. This immune adjuvant therapy also improved constitutional symptoms in patients with cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis.
