Synaptophysin immunoreactivity in adrenocortical adenomas: a correlation between synaptophysin and CYP17A1 expression

Synaptophysin (SYP) expression is higher in cortisol-producing adenomas, suggesting a role in adrenal function and glucocorticoid transport or secretion. This finding offers new insights into neuroendocrine properties of adrenal neoplasms.
