Haptic curvature contrast in raised lines and solid shapes.

Haptic perception is subject to contrast effects. Exploring shapes with both index finger and thumb revealed that a convex shape on the index finger made a flat shape on the thumb seem convex, demonstrating a strong curvature contrast.
