Summary

This study assessed critical thinking in a pharmacy curriculum using Bloom's taxonomy. Results show over half of objectives met critical thinking criteria, with a significant increase in the final year.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To measure the proportion of critical thinking objectives within a Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum.
  • To analyze the distribution of critical thinking objectives across different years of study.

  • Analysis of course syllabi to identify cognitive learning objectives.
  • Application of Bloom's taxonomy (Level 3 and higher) as an indicator of critical thinking.
  • Statistical analysis (Kruskal-Wallis test) to compare objective distribution across curriculum years.
