Lung donation and causes behind its failure: a single-center experience

Lung donation from brain-dead patients is critically low, with only 4.6% of cases resulting in lung harvest. Unacceptable oxygen challenge tests and pulmonary aspiration are primary reasons for organ non-suitability, impacting lung transplantation success.
