Prenatal alcohol exposure, particularly binge drinking during weeks 7-15 of gestation, may slightly increase the risk of cryptorchidism in male infants. However, overall alcohol consumption was not linked to this condition.

Purpose of the Study:

- Used Cox regression to estimate adjusted hazard ratios (HRs).
Main Results:
- Average weekly alcohol consumption and overall binge drinking frequency during pregnancy showed no association with cryptorchidism risk.
- Binge drinking during gestational weeks 7-15 was associated with a slightly increased risk (adjusted HRs 1.03-1.66).
Conclusions:
- Prenatal alcohol exposure, regardless of average intake or binge drinking frequency/timing, was not definitively linked to cryptorchidism.
- The study does not exclude the possibility that binge drinking during the critical male programming window may elevate cryptorchidism risk.
