[Psychosomatic inductions in a family and their correction by a psychotherapist]

Twelve mother-child pairs with common somatic-neurological symptoms have been examined. A clinical-psychological examination of women revealed increased levels of anxiety, hypochondria, physical and verbal aggression. Suggestion from a mother and imitation by a child characteristic of mother-child pairs cause psychosomatic inductions. The theoretical basis for the treatment of this type of frustrations are a synergetic conceptions on family as an open system. The treatment has been conducted in two stages. In the first stage, a mother received the hypnosuggestive psychotherapy (HSPT), along with the complex treatment with somatotrophic and psychotropic drugs, to work out specific hypnotic states. In the second stage, a child with psychosomatic symptoms underwent HSPT sessions in the presence of his/her mother. The effectiveness of treatment was 91,7% in children and 75% - in mothers.
