IL-6 predicts organ dysfunction and mortality in patients with multiple injuries

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) plasma levels can predict the development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) and mortality in trauma patients. Elevated IL-6 indicates a higher risk for severe outcomes in intensive care.
