New York Heart Association functional class predicts exercise parameters in the current era

The New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class II patients demonstrate higher peak oxygen consumption than NYHA class III/IV patients, even with modern heart failure treatments. However, current therapies do not change exercise parameters within each NYHA class.
