Mycotoxin detection in infant formula milks in Italy

Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) was not detected above limits in Italian infant formulas. However, Ochratoxin A (OTA) was found in 72% of samples, with levels in preterm formulas exceeding safe intake guidelines.
