Alogliptin use in elderly people: a pooled analysis from phase 2 and 3 studies

Alogliptin effectively lowers blood sugar in older adults with type 2 diabetes, showing similar efficacy and safety to younger patients. This DPP-4 inhibitor is well-tolerated, with no increased risk of hypoglycemia or weight gain in the elderly.
