Bladder volume determination: two-dimensional versus three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound

Three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound and two-dimensional (2D) ultrasound offer reliable noninvasive methods for measuring bladder volume. While 3D ultrasound tends to underestimate volume and 2D ultrasound tends to overestimate, both are effective for clinical use.

- 3D ultrasound tended to underestimate bladder volume, whereas 2D ultrasound tended to overestimate it.
