Summary

Fast dendritic cell (DC) protocols significantly shorten vaccine production time. DC generated in 48 hours or 5 days are comparable to the standard 8-day protocol, but 48-hour DC are more susceptible to IL-10 induction.

    • The enhanced susceptibility of 48h DCs to IL-10 warrants careful monitoring of regulatory T cells in future clinical trials.
    • Further investigation through small phase I trials is recommended to determine the clinical relevance of fast DC protocols in cancer immunotherapy.
