Summary

This case study details a 10-year-old girl with vulvar pyoderma gangrenosum. Treatment with cyclosporin A and steroids led to remission, with no relapse at 12 months.

  • A 10-year-old female presented with vulvar pyoderma gangrenosum.
  • Initial treatment with intravenous methylprednisolone failed to induce remission.
  • Tapering steroids led to lesion enlargement and purulent discharge.

Findings:

  • Combination therapy with oral cyclosporin A and low-dose steroids was initiated.
  • Significant clinical improvement was observed within 2 weeks of combined therapy.
