Abstract:
The British Pharmaceutical Conference 2009, held in Manchester, included topics covering new therapeutic and technological developments in the field of anti-infectives. This conference report highlights selected presentations on anti-infective drug discovery, treatment paradigms for bacterial infections, adaptive immunotherapy, point-of-care diagnostics, and the use of nanosensors for detecting drug-resistant bacteria.
