[Post-trauma uterine prolaps in infant. A case report]

Background:

• Genital prolapse is uncommon in children.
• Traumatic injuries can precipitate prolapse in pediatric patients.

Observation:

• A 7-year-old female presented with genital prolapse following an astride fall.
• The prolapse involved the cervix.

Findings:

• Manual reduction of the cervix was performed.
• A size 8 Foley catheter was inserted intravaginally for one week.
• This conservative approach resulted in a favorable outcome.

Implications:

• Post-traumatic uterine prolapse in infants is rare, potentially linked to underlying connective tissue weakness.
• Conservative management is recommended for pediatric patients whenever feasible.
