• Imaging revealed left to right crossed ectopia with fused kidneys, the left kidney being anterior and inferior to the right.

Findings:

• The patient exhibited a rare congenital anomaly of renal fusion and crossed ectopia.
• Severe bilateral vesicoureteral reflux was identified as a contributing factor to renal damage.
• A retroperitoneoscopic nephrectomy and right ureterectomy were successfully performed.
