Summary

Pulmonary embolism can cause exercise-induced hypotension, even weeks after symptom onset. Prompt diagnosis and thrombolytic therapy can successfully treat this condition, improving patient outcomes.

Findings:

  • Thrombolytic therapy led to partial resolution of pulmonary emboli.
  • Follow-up testing showed resolution of exercise-induced hypotension.

Implications:

  • Pulmonary embolism should be considered in cases of unexplained exercise-induced hypotension.
  • Timely thrombolytic treatment can be effective even with delayed presentation.
