Is there a prognostic role for C-reactive protein in ischemic stroke?

High C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in acute ischemic stroke patients predict a greater risk of subsequent fatal and non-fatal vascular events. Early CRP assessment aids in identifying high-risk individuals for stroke recurrence.

- These findings highlight the prognostic utility of early CRP measurement in managing stroke patients.
