Spontaneous cerebral embolism from descending thoracic aortic aneurysm--a case report

A case in which an aneurysm of the proximal descending thoracic aorta was the likely source of retrograde cerebral embolism is described. Atherosclerotic disease of the descending thoracic aorta should be considered as an unusual source of cerebral emboli.
