  • To identify factors associated with improved health outcomes in household water treatment interventions.
  • To analyze the causes of heterogeneity in reported effectiveness of HWT RCTs.
  • To provide evidence-based recommendations for effective HWT strategies.

Main Methods:

  • Systematic review and meta-analysis of 28 HWT RCTs (39 intervention arms).
  • Meta-regression analysis to identify predictors of intervention effectiveness.
  • Monte Carlo modeling to estimate long-term intervention effects over 12 months.
