Japanese encephalitis virus induce immuno-competency in neural stem/progenitor cells

Neural stem/progenitor cells (NSPCs) become immunogenic when infected with Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV). JEV-infected NSPCs stimulate T cell proliferation, suggesting a new role in the central nervous system immune response.
