Summary
Progranulin levels in cerebrospinal fluid do not differ in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients compared to controls. These findings suggest progranulin does not play a significant role in MS pathogenesis.

- No significant differences in CSF progranulin levels were found between MS patients and NIND, OIND, or CON groups.
- A positive correlation was observed between CSF progranulin levels and age in MS patients (rho=0.29, P=0.03).

- Progranulin does not appear to be a major factor in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis.
- CSF progranulin levels may correlate with age in MS patients.
