Specific immunotherapy (SIT) suppresses airway allergy by disrupting the TIM1/TIM4 interaction. This mechanism involves modulating T cell immunoglobulin mucin domain molecule 4 (TIM4) expression in dendritic cells, thereby reducing T helper 2 (Th2) cell responses.
