Summary
Stannosis, a lung disease from tin oxide dust, shows dense nodules on X-rays but usually mild symptoms. However, two cases revealed severe respiratory failure despite initial mild presentation.

- Both patients ultimately died from respiratory failure, contrary to the typically benign clinical course of stannosis.
