Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the incidence and risk factors of clozapine-associated seizures.
  • To determine the management strategies for patients experiencing seizures during clozapine treatment.

  • Retrospective review of 1,418 patients treated with clozapine in the US (1972-1988).
  • Life-table analysis to predict cumulative seizure risk.
  • Analysis of seizure risk in relation to clozapine dosage and titration speed.
