Summary

This study developed a less stressful conditioned avoidance behavior task for guinea pigs using air puffs instead of electric shocks. Guinea pigs learned to respond to noise cues, with higher sound levels leading to faster responses.

  • Generalization of learned responses to different sound levels (58, 68, and 88 dB SPL) was tested.
