To evaluate the effectiveness of a novel 'umbrella' autograft for tympanoplasty.
To assess hearing gain in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media and ossicular defects.

Patients had absent incus and stapes suprastructure requiring ossicular reconstruction.

Hearing gain was measured at 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 kHz at six months post-surgery.

Main Results:

Significant hearing improvement was observed in 77.3% of patients at six months.
Audiography confirmed statistically significant hearing gain (p < 0.001).
The results suggest durable hearing improvement over time.

Conclusions:

Umbrella graft tympanoplasty is a promising, cost-effective surgical strategy.
The use of autologous materials minimizes complications and enhances biocompatibility.
This technique offers a viable solution for hearing reconstruction in challenging environments.
