Summary

Uterine rupture is rare but dangerous, often caused by neglected labor. Early detection and transfer to specialized centers can significantly improve outcomes for mothers and babies.

  • Obstructed/neglected labor (52.63%) and scar rupture (35.08%) were the primary causes.
  • Stillbirth occurred in 94.74% of cases; however, no maternal mortality was recorded.
  • Conclusions:

    • Neglected and obstructed labor, often due to mismanagement by untrained attendants, is the leading cause of uterine rupture.
    • Prompt recognition and referral to higher-level facilities are crucial for reducing adverse maternal and fetal outcomes.
