Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) offers a promising treatment for inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) like mucopolysaccharidoses (MPSs), improving neurocognitive function and survival. Umbilical cord blood transplant (UCBT) provides a viable alternative to bone marrow grafts, enhancing accessibility and outcomes.
