Summary

Tuberculous liver abscess is a rare form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Early consideration of this diagnosis is crucial for patients with atypical presentations or those unresponsive to antibiotics.

Background:

  • Initial aspiration of the liver abscess yielded pus and granulation tissue, with negative bacterial and acid-fast bacilli cultures.
