The type III secretion effector NleE inhibits NF-kappaB activation

Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC) uses injected proteins NleB and NleE to block host NF-kappaB immune signaling. NleE directly inhibits IKKbeta activation, preventing inflammation and bacterial eradication.
