Working memory demands impair skill acquisition in children with ADHD

Children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) show impaired automaticity in cognitive skill acquisition when tasks demand high working memory (WM). This deficit was specific to high-WM tasks, not low-WM tasks.
