Revisiting the rotating call schedule in less than 80 hours per week

Surgical residents prefer a rotating call schedule (Q4) over night-float (NF) systems, reporting improved morale and engagement. This transition maintained compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) work rules and did not negatively impact American Board of Surgery In-Training Examination (ABSITE) scores.
