A standard setting method with the best performing students as point of reference: practical and affordable

Criterion-referenced and norm-referenced standard setting methods have drawbacks. A new compromise method, using a fixed cut-off score with top students as reference, reduces variability in scores and failure rates, offering an affordable alternative.
