Abstract:
Perioral abscesses are common manifestations of acute oral infections and microbiological studies has shown that they are polymicrobial infections, most often with the involvement of 3.5 different bacterial species. Microbial virulence, biocoenosis of oral cavity is elements which contribute to the emergence of oral infections. Although it may seem outside interest of dentist or oral surgeon updating related microbiological pathogens identified in perioral abscess, a brief and modest information about the profile of the pathogens involved is particularly beneficial and useful. The fact that this "explosive army" is not in sight, this not mean that it doesn't exist, so we believe that the holding of general notions of microbiological culture is necessary for prevention and treatment measures.
