Abstract:
The induction of chaperon proteins, belonging to GRPs (glucose-regulated proteins) family, is a mechanism which protects the cells against the endoplasmic reticulum stress. The genes that code synthesis of these proteins as well as some factors and mechanisms which regulate their expression were described. The explanation of GRPs function and regulation of their synthesis create new therapeutic possibilities in neoplasm diseases and those induced by endoplasmic reticulum stress.
