[Alcohol and automobile driving in the former East German area]

On the basis of traffic-characteristics the specially traffic- and crash-development in the formerly GDR is compared with West-Germany. The importance of alcohol, only this drug was attainable, in the development of the consumption, as a problem of health care and social insurance and as reason of working- and traffic-crashes is explained. Special points of the traffic-license law, of the drivers-fitness-control and the matter of taking action against alcohol in road-traffic and the responsibility in penal law, all that need some changes in order law arrangements and a special kind of cooperation in the traffic-security-task in all German countries.
