Serum and plasma BDNF levels in major depression: a replication study and meta-analyses

This study found decreased levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the blood of individuals with major depression (MD). These findings suggest BDNF alterations are linked to MD and may aid in future diagnosis and treatment strategies.
