Background:

Synchronous bilateral multiple typical pulmonary carcinoids represent a rare clinical presentation.
Early diagnosis and appropriate surgical intervention are crucial for managing these uncommon lung tumors.

Observation:

A 58-year-old woman presented with cough and chest pain, exhibiting multiple bilateral nodular lesions on thoracic CT.
Bronchoscopic evaluation was unremarkable, necessitating further investigation.

Findings:

Histopathologic examination confirmed typical carcinoid tumors in both lungs following sequential bilateral thoracotomies, wedge resections, and lymphadenectomy.
The patient remained disease-free with no pathological lesions observed during an 18-month postoperative follow-up period.

Implications:

This case underscores the importance of considering rare diagnoses like synchronous bilateral multiple pulmonary carcinoids.
Effective surgical strategies can lead to favorable outcomes in patients with multiple bilateral lung carcinoid tumors.
