- Post-operative follow-up at 26 months showed the patient remained asymptomatic.

- Hepatic duct diverticulum represents a rare choledochal cyst variant not currently included in Todani's classification.
- There is a need to review and potentially revise Todani's classification to incorporate uncommon choledochal cyst variations.
- Further research is necessary to define optimal diagnostic imaging and treatment strategies for choledochal cysts.
