Abstract:
A small sampling probe with a compact in-line absorption cell has been combined with tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy for measuring mole fractions of IR-active species in combustion gases with temporal and spatial resolution. The system characteristics are described, and initial results are reported for CO in a CO/air turbulent diffusion flame.
