Summary

Broiler breeder hens are less susceptible to eggshell apex abnormalities (EAA) caused by Mycoplasma synoviae, especially when coinfected with infectious bronchitis virus (IBV). This study found lower EAA prevalence in broiler breeders compared to table egg layers, though Mycoplasma synoviae still reduced egg production and shell strength.
