TRPM5 regulates glucose-stimulated insulin secretion

Transient Receptor Potential Melastatin 5 (TRPM5) is crucial for glucose-stimulated insulin secretion. Mice lacking TRPM5 show impaired insulin release and elevated blood glucose, suggesting a role in type 2 diabetes.
