Physiologic 18F-FDG uptake in the fallopian tubes at mid cycle on PET/CT

Bilateral pelvic foci of (18)F-FDG uptake were observed in premenopausal women, primarily in the fallopian tubes during the mid-menstrual cycle. This finding suggests a link between estrogen and fallopian tube activity.
