Objective:
The objective of our study was to compare anteversion measurements of a human cadaveric femur obtained using axial CT slices with axial oblique reformations along the femoral neck and assess how accuracy changes across a range of simulated femur positions.
Conclusion:
Axial oblique reformations allow more accurate anteversion assessment than axial images with femoral flexion, extension, and internal and external rotation. Centers should consider replacing the standard straight axial technique with the axial oblique method for CT determination of femoral anteversion.
