Determining patient characteristics for decision analysis support systems using anonymized electronic patient records

Decision analysis can improve treatment choices by using patient data. This study shows how to use the General Practice Research Database (GPRD) to estimate recurrent stroke risk and aspirin benefits for shared decision-making.
